Job Description: Project Manager (Piping Design)
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Piping DesignEngineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong backgroundin piping design and a passion for leveraging advanced technologies inindustrial design and plant development.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize piping system designs based on projectrequirements, industry standards, and client specifications.
Process 3D scanning files and convert scanned data intoprecise and detailed CAD models.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamlessintegration of piping designs into overall plant layouts.
Assist in the development and implementation of digital twinsolutions for industrial plants, enabling advanced simulation, monitoring, andpredictive maintenance.
Conduct design reviews, analyze layouts, and identifyimprovements for efficiency and safety.
Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, andregulations.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and designspecifications. esign and develop pipe racks in alignment with process andutility line requirements.
Draft and maintain Plot Plans, Equipment Layouts, and PipingLayouts.
Review equipment vendor General Arrangement Drawings (GADs)to finalize nozzle orientations as per the design basis.
Check piping isometrics along with Bill of Materials (BOM)to ensure accuracy, connectivity with P&IDs, and compliance with ProjectMaterial Specifications (PMS) and the line list.
Model small branches such as pressure indicators (PIs),temperature indicators (TIs), vents, and drains in conjunction with main pipes.
Conduct interference checks to identify and resolve clashesbetween piping, equipment, and structures.
Collaborate with senior officials and other disciplines toaddress piping and equipment-related issues and ensure seamless coordination.
Identify and resolve layout issues to optimize designaccuracy and efficiency.
Prepare detailed piping route designs, ensuring compliancewith industry standards.
Perform pipe routing and support modeling to deliver robustand efficient systems.
Model equipment and structural components using tools suchas E3D, PDMS, and Plant 3D.
Create detailed study drawings for both critical andnon-critical piping lines.
Analyze P&IDs, equipment layouts, and piping layouts toinform and refine designs.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in piping design,preferably in industrial or plant environments.
Proficiency in handling 3D scanning data and converting itinto CAD models.
Expertise in CAD software such as AutoCAD Plant 3D, PDMS, orequivalent tools.
Experience with digital twin technologies is a strongadvantage.
Solid understanding of piping systems, materials, andassociated codes (e.g., ASME, ANSI, ISO).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communicationskills.
Preferred Skills:
Proficiency in E3D, PDMS, and Plant 3D software.
Strong understanding of piping design principles, materialspecifications, and industry standards.
Expertise in interpreting technical drawings, P&IDs, andlayouts.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities to effectivelycoordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Experience with digital transformation projects inmanufacturing or industrial plants.
Knowledge of sustainability and smart factory practices is aplus
